Strata Meiselman Registry

The Meiselman Registry focuses on maintaining the historic Jack Meiselman mid-century modern houses in Palm Springs. As a full-scale online library, it offers authentic property search services, educational information and an active community of enthusiasts, house owners and researchers. Their initiative focuses on recording architectural information, providing access to a professional, and raising awareness about desert modernism, so that the designs of Meiselman are remembered and handed over to the generations to come. The registry provides homeowners and those appreciating the beauty of mid-century modern architecture an opportunity to discover, join and take an active role in protecting this distinct heritage through their selected platform.

Problem Statement

To effectively present the architectural heritage of Jack Meiselman, the registry needed a digital solution that could structure comprehensive data on the property, topics of expertise and connect with a niche community of fans and homeowners.

The client required a powerful platform to handle in-depth property information, such as architectural histories and statuses. The available spreadsheets and offline databases could not effectively provide this information in an interesting, searchable format.

To help connect design enthusiasts and homeowners together, an interactive platform was needed to help create engagement and sharing of resources, yet past attempts had not had the tools to facilitate a successful connected community.

Meiselman Registry was interested in emphasising specialised restoration services and professionals. Without the help of a good e-commerce website , potential homeowners were unable to identify reliable professionals to take care of mid-century modern homes.

The lack of a centralised digital archive did not facilitate educational outreach. The need to maintain the architectural work of Meiselman required a convenient online medium through which the historical content, photos of the properties and design storeys could be stored.

Goals to Achieve

The goals were to rebrand the online presence of the registry as an authoritative and easy-to-use site that not only honoured mid-century modern architecture but also allowed the community to expand and explore the properties.

Created a user-friendly Web Portal that enabled all visitors to get in-depth property, architectural images, and historical information, and the exploration of Meiselman homes was indeed smooth and informative.

Empowered homeowners and amateurs to communicate with certified architects and contractors, providing a reliable source of property repair, maintenance, and design advice.

Constructed social interactive forums and content sharing applications to develop a level of active enthusiast community, discussions, storytelling and mutual enjoyment of Meiselman’s architectural philosophy.

Developed a high-quality learning platform on Meiselman's work, the history of desert modernism, and restoration information can be found, making certain that students, researchers, and amateurs can study and read without difficulty.

Installed current web development solutions to provide a user-friendly, attractive platform, user-friendly to desktops and mobile devices, and in the spirit of the mid-century modern design.
